Company History
Founded by Seth and Samantha Woodward, Breakaway Sports is a reflection of their deep-rooted commitment to the Eagle River community. Following their relocation to Eagle River in 2020, the Woodwards swiftly integrated themselves into the fabric of the town through active participation in community initiatives. Seth, a dedicated volunteer firefighter and youth sports coach, harbors a profound love for hockey that dates back to his youth.
Samantha, a member of the School Community Organization at Sugar Camp Elementary School, actively contributes to supporting the needs of the school community and their sons’ hockey and baseball teams. Recognizing the need for accessible, high-quality sporting goods in the area, the Woodwards embarked on the journey to establish Breakaway Sports. Seth’s background in business ownership and sales, coupled with his passion for hockey and community advocacy, perfectly position him to lead and nurture this venture aimed at enhancing the sporting experiences of residents and visitors in Northeastern Wisconsin and the adjacent Michigan Upper Peninsula region.
